A debate to accomplish Jack

The jist of both of these articles is about how Palin did not hurt herself in the debate, of course she didn't, the way that debate was set up you would have to be a complete moron to change your chances in the race for the worse. The American spectator article is basically praising jesus that Palin didn't screw up, while The New Republic article admits that Palin did do good, but Biden did better, Palin and Biden are equals in the "Joe Sixpack" vote, as Palin would say.

The Big Bail

http://www.democracynow.org/2008/9/25/as_bush_admin_pushes_700b_for

Bush wants to pass a 700 billion dollar bail out of big businesses or wallstreet, whichever you prefer. But with the governemt wiping wallstreet ass everytime they make a financial boo boo, we are drifting further and further into socialism, defying the constitution.

Applying Marxism to today's economy

Marx's theory needs to be applied to today's economy...to an extent. Marxism would never work in America simply because we have too many people that would refuse to put any input into the economy. Although Marxism as a whole would never work here, we shouldn't throw his whole theory out the door because we are afraid of communism. For instance, the working class needs to have political say, not neccesarily through revolution but it is a decent idea. Marxism would eliminate big business's control over the polititions, and that is something that we need badly right now. Something that would not work from marxism is doing away with private property. From his culture, it was needed, but here in America a good amount of people have property that they would end up losing due to equal distribution, it works when the majority has no country but it does not when too many people are losing land.
